Renata Stanska
My story of becoming a Massage Therapist starts here in Sutherland House. I have been working here as a receptionist for the last 7 years. I always admired my colleague practitioners, their knowledge, ability and passion to help patients get better.
For the last 2 years I have been thinking of becoming a Massage Therapist as I had the desire to help others. I thought about it for a few weeks and left it at the back of my mind thinking “may be one day”. Recently I listened to my intuition and decided to start my Massage Therapist Level 3 Course.
With great support and encouragement from my colleagues and family my dream came true.
Studying Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, getting to know more about the human body and the amazing work it does, really awoke up my passion. I find it fascinating how the body works and the great effects that massage can have.
As a Holistic Therapist I focus on the body as a whole rather than looking at certain muscle groups in isolation. My intention is to rebalance the body and the mind through the therapeutic application of touch. My aim is to treat every individual according to their specific needs in a serene and peaceful environment. It gives me great pleasure to help people unwind. There is no better feeling than seeing the look of relief on someone’s face after they get off the treatment couch, it really is a privilege.
This quote perfectly reflects how I feel about being a Massage Therapist:
“The real joy in life comes from finding your purpose and aligning in with what you do every day.”
