Eva Niezgoda-Hadjidemetri
Chartered Physiotherapist MSc | HCPC | MCSP | AACP | APCP
FSM Practitioner & Instructor | Clear Passage Practitioner | Bowen Practitioner | MedKey Practitioner
Eva Niezgoda-Hadjidemetri is a Chartered Physiotherapist with more than 45 years of clinical experience. She qualified as a physiotherapist in 1980 and gained a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw.
Early in her career, Eva developed a particular interest in paediatrics while working at the Institute of Rehabilitation for Children with Chronic Disabilities in Poland. This experience shaped her interest in working with complex conditions and in developing an individual understanding of each patient.
Since moving to the UK in 1986, Eva has continued to develop her clinical expertise through extensive postgraduate training in manual therapy, including Maitland, Cyriax, McKenzie and Neurodynamics. She has also undertaken extensive additional training in a range of complementary approaches, continually developing her knowledge throughout her career.
Eva has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Her particular interest is hypermobility in children and adolescents, alongside chronic pain and more complex musculoskeletal conditions.
Her treatment approach draws on a broad range of physiotherapy and manual therapy techniques, including mobilisation, manipulation, connective-tissue techniques, muscle energy techniques, Bowen therapy and acupuncture. She also develops individual exercise programmes tailored to each patient’s needs.
Clear Passage and visceral adhesions
In 2013, Eva trained and became certified in the Clear Passage method for treating visceral adhesions in Gainesville, Florida, USA.
Since then, she has developed a particular interest in abdominal and pelvic adhesions and their relationship with chronic and complex symptoms. She has treated patients travelling from across the UK, Europe and further afield, and has maintained close professional links with the Clear Passage Clinic in the USA.
This specialist area has become an important part of Eva’s clinical practice, complementing her extensive experience as a physiotherapist.
Frequency Specific Microcurrent
Eva began her training in Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) in 2014 and subsequently completed advanced training to become an FSM Practitioner and Instructor.
She has attended numerous FSM courses and international symposiums and continues to develop her knowledge of this approach and its application alongside her wider clinical experience.
Professional experience and continuing development
Throughout her career, Eva has placed great importance on continuing professional development. She has consistently sought opportunities to expand her knowledge, explore new approaches and develop her clinical skills for the benefit of her patients and colleagues.
She has built an extensive professional network that includes surgeons, consultants, general practitioners, podiatrists and other healthcare practitioners. She values collaborative working and the exchange of knowledge between different areas of healthcare.
Alongside her clinical work, Eva has also played an important role in the development and management of Sutherland House. She enjoys both the clinical and managerial aspects of her work, as well as the opportunity to support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative and inspiring professional environment.
Eva’s career has been characterised by curiosity, continuous learning and a willingness to explore new approaches while drawing on more than four decades of experience as a physiotherapist. Her aim is to understand each patient as an individual and to develop an approach that reflects their particular needs and circumstances.
