Martine Vegoda
With over 14 years of experience in traditional Chinese Acupuncture, sisters Martine and Natalie Vegoda provide bespoke and tailored treatments to address all their patients’ needs.
Their path into traditional Chinese acupuncture was untraditional. Both had trained and excelled in corporate professions but found their satisfaction with life to be low and their focus on a healthy lifestyle an afterthought. After travelling in the East and pursuing four years of intense training in Reflexology and Traditional Chinese acupuncture, they opened The Heathlands Clinic to offer others the benefits of their new found healing therapies.
When a patient comes for acupuncture treatment, they can expect a warm, welcoming environment where both Martine and Natalie assess the situation, review past medical history and provide specialised treatments for problems ranging from joint pain/stiffness, emotional imbalances, sleep disturbance, hormone related issues (infertility and menopause) and general wellness treatments.
Uniquely in their field, Martine and Natalie treat all their patients together as a duo, offering the added benefits of double the care, double the knowledge and double the expertise.
Both Martine and Natalie have interests and further training in:
- Mental Health and the Mind/Body connection
- Stress, Emotional Well-being, Anxiety/Depression and Insomnia.
- Women’s Health including Fertility and IVF support,
- Pregnancy (during and post-partum) and Menopause.
- Pain management and Digestive health.
- They also practice Trigger-Point acupuncture, Electro-acupuncture,
- Auricular acupuncture,
- Cupping,
- Gua Sha and Moxibustion.
Both Martine and Natalie’s training has granted them a broad knowledge of Western medicine. They like to stay up to date with advances in Western medicine and clinical research and both enjoy attending lectures at The Royal Society of medicine when they can.
In practice they work closely alongside medical experts in a variety of fields. Over the years they have built up strong working relationships in the community which means they can better serve their patients to find solutions to their healthcare needs and refer where necessary.
Martine and Natalie are members of the British Acupuncture Council and abide by a code of ethics which maintains high standards of education, discipline and practice.
