A tip from our Naturopath, Marina Townsley on how to make a smoothie that’ll give your immune system a boost!
A quick and easy tip for immune support: all you need is half a banana, a handful of frozen mixed berries, a blender, some water, a 1/3 of teaspoon of moringa leaf powder and the same amount of Rhodiola root powder.
All of this mixed together in a blender makes a lovely morning smoothie within a couple of minutes!
Moringa is a powerhouse of nutrients and Rhodiola rosea is an adaptogen which increases resistance to physical, biochemical and mental stress. It also strengthens immunity and is widely used for common cold and flu prevention in Russia and by ethnic tribes in Siberia.
A smoothie is a good way to incorporate herbal powders. If your smoothie is too thick, add some water to the desired consistency.
